Hymn
Wake now, my senses, and hear the earth call;
feel the deep power of being in all;
keep, with the web of creation your vow,
giving, receiving as love shows us how.
Wake now, my reason, reach out to the new,
join with each pilgrim who quests for the true;
honor the beauty and wisdom of time;
suffer your limit, and praise the sublime.
Wake now, compassion, give heed to the cry;
voices of suffering fill the wide sky;
take as your neighbor both stranger and friend,
praying and striving their hardship to end.
Wake now, my conscience, with justice your guide;
join with all people whose rights are denied;
take not for granted a privileged place;
God's love embraces the whole human race.
Wake now, my vision of ministry clear;
brighten my pathway with radiance here;
mingle my calling with all who will share;
work toward a planet transformed by our care.

Song
Take off, take off your shoes
This place you’re standing, it’s holy ground
Take off, take off your shoes
The spot you’re standing, its holy ground
These words I heard in my burning bush
This place you’re standing, it’s holy ground
I heard my fiery voice speak to me
This spot you’re standing, it’s holy ground
That spot is holy holy ground
That place you stand it’s holy ground
This place you tread, it’s holy ground
God made this place his holy ground
Take off your shoes and pray
The ground you walk it’s holy ground
Take off your shoes and pray
The ground you walk it’s holy ground
Every spot on earth I traipse around
Every spot I walk it’s holy ground
Every spot on earth I traipse around
Every spot I walk it’s holy ground
Every spot it’s holy ground
Every little inch it’s holy ground
Every grain of dirt it’s holy ground
Every spot I walk it’s holy ground
Prayer of Confession
NOT ON PPT
Let us confess together
that we have not always lived as those forgiven, set free and united in Christ.
All: O
God,
we confess the blindness that is
not even aware of sinning;
the pride that dares not admit that
it is wrong;
the selfishness that can see
nothing but its own will;
the righteousness that knows no
fault;
the callousness that has ceased to
care;
the defiance that does not regret
its own sins;
the evasion that always tries to
make excuses;
the coldness of heart that is too
hardened to repent.
God, we are sinners; be merciful to
us.
—silent
reflection—
One: Almighty God have mercy on us,
pardon and deliver us from all our sins, confirm and strengthen us in all
goodness, and keep us in eternal life; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.
Please stand, all who are able.
Song of Praise
//I ‘ve got a crown up in-a the Kingdom
Ain’t-a that good news.//
I’m going to lay down this world
Going to shoulder up my cross
Goin’ to take it home to Jesus
Ain’t-a that good news
//I ‘ve got a harp up in-a the Kingdom
Ain’t-a that good news.//
I’m
going to lay down this world
Going to shoulder up my cross
Goin’ to take it home to Jesus
Ain’t-a that good news
//I ‘ve got a Savior in-a the Kingdom
Ain’t-a that good news.//
I’m
going to lay down this world
Going to shoulder up my cross
Goin’ to take it home to Jesus
Ain’t-a that good news

Reading from Hebrew Scripture
Exodus 3:1-15
NOT ON PPT
Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law
Jethro, the priest of Midian; he led his flock beyond the wilderness, and came
to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of
the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of a bush; he looked,
and the bush was blazing, yet it was not consumed. Then Moses said, “I
must turn aside and look at this great sight, and see why the bush is not
burned up.” When the Lordsaw that he had turned aside to see, God called
to him out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” Then he
said, “Come no closer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on
which you are standing is holy ground.” He said further, “I am the God of
your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And
Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.
Then the Lord said, “I have observed the
misery of my people who are in Egypt; I have heard their cry on account of
their taskmasters. Indeed, I know their sufferings, and I have come down
to deliver them from the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a
good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the country of the
Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the
Jebusites. The cry of the Israelites has now come to me; I have also seen
how the Egyptians oppress them. So come, I will send you to Pharaoh to
bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.”
But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go
to Pharaoh, and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” He said, “I will be
with you; and this shall be the sign for you that it is I who sent you: when
you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God on this
mountain.” But Moses said to God, “If I come to the Israelites and say to
them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is
his name?’ what shall I say to them?” God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.”
He said further, “Thus you shall say to the Israelites, ‘I AM has sent me to
you.’“ God also said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the Israelites,
‘The Lord, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of
Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you’: This is my name forever, and
this my title for all generations.

Song
I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people
cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin my hand will save.
I who made the stars of night, I will make their
darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send?
Here I am, Lord.
Is it I, Lord? I have heard you
calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.
I, the Lord of snow and
rain, I have borne my people’s pain.
I have wept for love of
them. They turn away.
I will break their hearts
of stone, give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak my word to
them. Whom shall I send?
Here I am, Lord.
Is it I, Lord? I have heard you
calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.
I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the
poor and lame,
I will set a feast for them. My hand will save.
Finest bread I will provide till their hearts be
satisfied.
I will give my life to them. Whom shall I send?
Here I am, Lord.
Is it I, Lord? I have heard you
calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.

of Faith
All: In God I believe and place my trust.
One: I believe in the Holy Friend,
whose name is unspeakable
yet whose peace is ineffable,
All: who can never be found by our efforts yet is

One: whose wisdom is unsearchable yet whose care
is accessible,
All: who is jealous of our well being yet respects
our free will,
One: whose glory is unspeakable yet whose meekness
is knowable,
All: who knows all our names and bears our joys,
sins and sorrows,
One: whose Spirit is indomitable and whose Christ
is most lovable,
All: who cannot be contained by the universe yet
who lives in our hearts.
One: I believe in the Holy Friend.
All: In God I believe and place my trust.

Song
One, then All:
Alleluia!
Holy is the Name Unnamed,
good unbounded, uncontained,
God in Jesus touched and seen:
worship, wonder, praise we bring.
One: Tree
of Fire, in sapphire flame outspreading,
center of holy ground, of pain and healing,
Rock of Dreams, red in the desert rising,
measure and mark of time, each age recording:
Alleluia!
All:
Alleluia!
Holy is the Name Unnamed,
good unbounded, uncontained,
God in Jesus touched and seen:
worship, wonder, praise we bring.
One: Hill
of Feasts, with milk and honey flowing,
giver of ample good, all creatures feeding,
Cave of Sighs, latent with whispered longing,
stillness of growth unseen, and womb of waiting:
Alleluia!
All:
Alleluia!
Holy is the Name Unnamed,
good unbounded, uncontained,
God in Jesus touched and seen:
worship, wonder, praise we bring.
One: Cloud
of Dark, all speech and thought dissolving,
terror of tugging void and stark unknowing,
Wheel of Light, rainbow of shimmered swirling,
whirlpool of dizzied change, and dread disturbing:
Alleluia!
All:
Alleluia!
Holy is the Name Unnamed,
good unbounded, uncontained,
God in Jesus touched and seen:
worship, wonder, praise we bring.
One: Sea of
Tears, despair and evil drowning,
ocean of restless care, all hate eroding,
Well of Gifts, measureless depth of being,
gladness of life revived, and hope's refreshing:
Alleluia!
All:
Alleluia!
Holy is the Name Unnamed,
good unbounded, uncontained,
God in Jesus touched and seen:
worship, wonder, praise we bring.

Song
1. In the
midst of every blessing
may my heart be filled with grace.
Streams of goodness, ever flowing
call for songs of highest praise.
May my words be filled with gratitude;
may my glad heart humble be.
As a holder of a blessing
May I share it gratefully.
2. In the
midst of every trial
may my heart be filled with grace.
Streams of comfort, ever flowing
call for songs of highest praise.
May I find the strength within me;
may I sense it everywhere.
As I face what must be handled
may I find truth I can share.
3. In the
midst of all our living
may our hearts be filled with grace.
Streams of goodness ever flowing
call for songs of highest praise.
May we seek and find encouragement;
may our choices worthy be.
As we journey on together,
may we know integrity.

Sent out
in Jesus' name, our hands are ready now
to make
the earth the place in which the kingdom comes.
Sent out
in Jesus' name, our hands are ready now
to make
the earth the place in which the kingdom comes.
The
angels cannot change a world of hurt and pain
into a
world of love, of justice and of peace.
The task
is ours to do, to set it really free.
O help
us to obey and carry out your will.
