Pastor: Sisters and brothers in Christ, our baptism
is the sign and seal of our cleansing from sin, and of our being grafted into
Christ. Through the birth, life,
death, and resurrection of Christ, the power of sin was broken and God’s
kingdom entered our world. Through our
baptism we were made citizens of God’s kingdom, and freed from the bondage of
sin. Let us celebrate that freedom and
redemption through the renewal of the promises made at our baptism.
I
ask, therefore, that we once again reject sin, profess our faith in Christ
Jesus, and confess the faith of the church, the faith in which we were
baptized.

Pastor/a: Hermanos y hermanas en Cristo, nuestro
bautismo es la señal y el sello de la purificación de nuestros pecados y de
que estamos unidos en Cristo. A través
del nacimiento, vida, muerte y resurrección de Cristo, el poder del pecado
fue partido y el reino de Dios entro al mundo. A través del bautismo nos
hacemos ciudadanos del reino de Dios y liberados de las ataduras del pecado.
Celebremos la liberación y la redención por medio de la renovación de

Pastor: Eternal God, you nourish and sustain all
living things by the gift of water. In
the beginning of time, your Spirit moved over the watery chaos, calling forth
life. You led Israel out of slavery,
through the waters of the sea, into the freedom of the promised land. In the waters of the Jordan, Jesus was
baptized by John and anointed with your Spirit. By the baptism of his own death and
resurrection, Christ set us free from sin and death, and opened the way to
eternal life. We thank you God, for
the water of Baptism. In it we are
buried with Christ in his death, From it we are raised to share in his
resurrection. Through it we are reborn
by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore in joyful obedience to your Son, we celebrate our fellowship in him in faith. We pray that all who have passed through the water of baptism may continue forever in the risen life of Jesus Christ our Savior. To whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be all honor and glory, now and forever.

Pastor/a: Eterno Dios, Tu
alimentas y mantienes todas las seres vivientes por medio del regalo
del agua. Al principio de los tiempos tu Espíritu se movía sobre el caos
acuoso, y llamaste la vida. Tú liberaste a Israel de la esclavitud a través
de las aguas hacia la libertad de la tierra prometida. En las aguas del Jordán, Jesús fue
bautizado por juan y ungido con tu espíritu. Por el bautismo de su muerte y
resurrección Cristo nos libero del pecado y de la muerte y nos abrió el
camino a la vida eterna. Dios, te
damos gracias por las aguas del bautismo, en ella somos enterrados con Cristo
en su muerte, de ellas compartimos su resurrección y a través de ellas
renacemos por el poder del Espíritu Santo.
Por lo tanto, alegres y en obediencia a tu Hijo,
celebramos nuestro/a hermandad en el
